2016 Gold Coast Eisteddfod to Shine Brighter than Ever!

Initially part of the popular festival Tropicarnival back then, the Eisteddfod has continued to grow, eventually branching out to become the largest competition of its kind in Australia. Per year, heaps of entries are received from the south east Queensland region and other parts of the country. The contestants are are composed of individual entrants, and groups from Primary and Secondary Schools while more than 70 Dance Studios participate in sections, which include: Solo and Group Dance, Piano, Strings, Brass and Wind, Instrumental Groups, Bands, Orchestras, Vocal, Choral and Special Needs.
This event is a fruitful partnership with the Welsh International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. Besides the seven-week festival, the Gold Coast Eisteddfod will also put on a spectacular concert 'The Musicale' at The Theatre Arts Centre on October 16th.
